The company did not provide the specific date of the of the software package, But the community staff recently posted that the operating system upgrade is now in its final testing phase.

“We understand that many of you have Unlocked Galaxy S8/+ and Note 8 devices and may be wondering why those with Carrier models are seeing the updates first,” said the forum post. “We’re working with our Carriers to get Oreo out to ALL eligible Galaxy S8/+ and Note 8 devices within the next 2-3 weeks.”

Also, The company provide an explanation of the change, why the network operators in the United States were able to deploy the software package to the carrier-locked models first.

Software Upgrade Features to Android 8.0 Oreo

With this unlock, Samsung Galaxy S8, Note 8 Models to Android 8.0 Oreo will bring new features. These models will serve the Picture-in-Picture mode, the notification dots functionality, and the autofill feature.

Moreover, The Picture-in-Picture mode allows users to view two applications at the same time by placing one app in a smaller window on top of another application.
