Steam Winter Sale continues – Games and Hardware Deals

A Good news for Gamers, in the last week of this year, the steam winter sale launched.

Steam’s yearly fire sale is happening from now until January 2nd. So, you’ve got a few more days to snag a deal on FirewatchDoomFarming Simulator 17 and loads of other games you might have missed this year.

If you’re a PC gamer and waiting for watch Dog 2 picked up Watch Dogs 2, you’re in luck because it’s currently $20 off. That gloriously brutal Doom reboot is currently going for under $20, making it a good time to catch up on your yearly quota of chainsaw kills.

This sale is also available in India so you don’t pay dollars you can pay rupees Steam Winter Sale saw the introduction of local pricing in Indian Rupees, but the need of an international credit card or debit card for payments was seen as a barrier for many potential consumers.

Anyway, it’s here and there are some good deals hidden amongst the cruft. Baldur’s Gate II is down to $8, Project Cars is under $10, one of the year’s best action-RPGs Grim Dawn is 45 percent off ($13.74), Cities Skylines is $7.50, Grim Fandango Remastered is $3, and so on.

And like the Steam Summer Sale, there are also deals on hardware. You can grab a Steam Link for 60 percent off, or a mere $20. Add in a Steam Controller and the package will cost you $50. Not too bad! Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there are any deals on the HTC Vive this time around. (It was marked down to $700 for the Autumn Sale.)

Potentially more important than the sales this year is the presence of the first annual Steam Awards, though. Nominees were submitted during November’s Autumn Sale, but voting will take place from now until December 30. You can see the full list of categories and nominees here, but note: You’ll only be voting on one category per day. First up is the “Villain Most In Need Of A Hug” award, with voting running today from 10 a.m. Pacific until tomorrow at the same time, when the clock ticks over to votes for the “I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won An Award” award, and so on.

Winners will be announced on December 31, and then we’ll all forget about 2016 and start getting hyped for next year’s games I guess.

The Steam Winter Sale ends at 1 PM Eastern time on January 2nd. and on top of the sale, voting is now open for the 2016 Steam Awards, so you can cast your vote for categories like “I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won an Award” or “Villian Most In Need Of A Hug.”

Other than that, keep a tight grip on your wallet and best of luck. And if it’s your first ever Steam Winter Sale?. Have fun building up your Steam library. It’s a great experience.
