Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus official support page live on Samsung India website

Samsung’s support page for the upcoming flagship Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus smartphone has gone live in India, ahead of its global launch.

The South Korean company has made the support page on India Website for the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus with model number SM-G955FD. Additionally, Samsung’s brand new digital personal assistant Bixby has been leaked in the trademark application.

Tipster Evan Blass, in a tweet, had earlier revealed Samsung will skip SM-G94 model numbers in favor of SM-G950 for the Galaxy S8 series. Link to the support page was posted by Reddit user albus—dumbledore, kicking off a discussion on Samsung’s upcoming flagship devices. No details about the product were seen on the support page.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, which is expected to replace Samsung’s Galaxy S7 Edge, for all intents and purposes will reportedly be a 6.2-inch phablet. Its dimensions would, however, be such that it would seem a lot more compact than what its paper specs would seem to indicate. The phone would likely feature a curved QHD Super-AMOLED display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835/ Exynos 8895 processor under the hood.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is further said to include an iris scanner, alongside a fingerprint scanner, for added security. The phone would most likely be water and dust-resistant and carry a microSD card slot for expandable storage.

In separate news, Samsung’s much-anticipated digital assistant Bixby has been leaked in a trademark application. The application was first spotted by Twitter user Sam ECD Recycling who wrote “Samsung have just sent off this trademark application. Say hello to Bixby!”

Samsung has confirmed it will skip the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC), Barcelona for the launch of its next flagship smartphone. Instead, the Korean smartphone giant is said to be gearing for a March 29 launch event in New York.
