Everything You Need To Know About The Moto G5 And The Moto G5 Plus

As we all know already, the most anticipated products at the keynote of Lenovo’s 26 February event at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) in Barcelona would be the duo of Moto’s ultra popular G series phones – the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus.

According to a report, Both Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are said to come with almost same internal hardware, except in two key features. The former is expected to sport a 5.2-inch full HD (1920x1080p) display with 3,000mAh battery, whereas the latter will flaunt a bigger 5.5-inch full HD screen and a 3,100mAh cell. The rest of the key specifications such as camera, CPU, RAM, storage and connectivity features remain same.

The Motorola G5 series is expected to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB internal storage.

In terms of photography, G5 series is said to house a 12-megapixel primary camera on the back with rapid focus, Sony IMX362 sensor, PDAF and f/1.7 aperture and 4K video recording ability. The front camera will use a 5-megapixel sensor.

Popular Twitter spy Roland Quandt has claimed that the price of generic Moto G5 (with 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage) will start at €189 (Rs 13,500), whereas the base model of high-end Moto G5 Plus (with 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage) will set you back by €209 (Rs.15,000), much less compared Moto G4 series, wherein the price started at €249 (Rs 17,700), when it was launched last year.

For Lenovo and Motorola, the Moto G series has been highly successful in the mid-range Android segment, especially in India. The Moto G4 Plus stood out for its 16-megapixel camera in the segment, which was one of the better ones in this price range, especially in low-light performance.
