Amazon Launched New Echo Dot, Echo Show, Echo Input, Echo Plus, and Echo Sub For India
On Thursday, Tech giant and the popular e-commerce platform Amazon unveiled five new generation(3rd gen) devices New Echo Dot, Echo Show, Echo Input, Echo Plus, and Echo Sub for India at its Alexa-focused event in Seattle. Among these Amazon’s Echo Dot is the most popular device.
In the event, Amazon also launched three other Echo products i.e Echo Auto, Echo Link, Echo Link Amp but they aren’t coming to India just yet. Currently, Customers can set up for pre-orders on the Amazon India website, for the Echo Dot, Echo Plus, and Echo Sub, while two others are coming to India early next year.
Echo Dot
So, the Amazon Echo Dot is a smart device, a voice-controlled speaker that uses Alexa to play music, control smart home devices, make calls, answer questions, and more but this time the company offers the new Echo Dot (3rd generation)with advanced design and feature like with 70 per cent better sound and updated fabric design and is priced at Rs. 4,499.
Compared with the predecessor the company assure that the speaker delivers better audio quality. Moreover, The Echo Dot is available in three colours — Charcoal, Heather Gray, and Sandstone.
In terms of connectivity, It can be connected to other speaker systems via Bluetooth or a 3.5mm cable. Echo Dot can now also pair with other Echo speakers to create stereo sound.
Echo Plus
Another new device Echo Plus is up for pre-order at Rs. 14,999 which is the same as the previous generation device and goes on sale next month in India.
The Echo Plus comes with Zigbee smart home hub built-in. It also features an embedded temperature sensor that assists the users to set routines based on the current temperature for your connected devices.
In terms of design, the Echo Plus is powered by Dolby equipped with a 3-inch Neodymium woofer and better bass output and available in three colours — Heather, Charcoal Gray, and Sandstone.
For the bass quality, The company assures that it is stronger and the sound is clearer on the Echo Plus. Also, the bass, treble, and midrange are adjustable by Alexa, the smart voice assistant that powers all Echo devices. The Echo serves with seven-microphone beamforming array, which cancels background noise so it can hear you better.
Echo Sub
Now, here comes the Amazon’s first wireless subwoofer device, Echo Sub. Amazon said that the new Echo Subwoofer will be able to create a room-filling sound experience for the users.
In connectivity option, The Echo Sub can pair with any Echo speaker, can enable Bluetooth 1.1 or 2.1 pairing with compatible Echo devices. With this device also, Users can adjust the bass, mid-range and treble on the subwoofer by using Alexa. Furthermore, The Echo Sub is up for pre-order for Rs. 12,999 and will ship in November.
