Back in September, Google announced that it would offer a family plan for its Play Music subscription service, and today Google has finally made the family plan for Google Play Music official. The new plan lets up to 6 people listen to unlimited, ad-free music on Google Play for $14.99 a month.

Spotify, the leading streaming music service, also offers family plans but, it charges $14.99 per month for two family members and lets you add on additional members for $5 while Google and Apple both keep you at a $14.99 even as you add more people. Beyond access to Google Play Music, you will also get a family subscription to YouTube Red, the company’s recently-launched ad-free video subscription service.

“You’ll unlock all of the same features you’d get from having individual subscriptions, including ad-free, unlimited access to more than 35 million songs and the ability for each family member to stream simultaneously on any device, all for one low price.” Eunice Kim, Google Play Families product manager, said in a blog post.

Eunice Kim says you and your family will be able to sign up for a Google Play Music family plan in the coming days on Android devices in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, France and Germany, with more countries coming soon.

Google Play Music has more than 35 million songs available, and with Songza (the playlist-based streaming service), there will be plenty of great playlists available for you.
