Social Site Google+ Another Security Breach That Affect 52.5 Million User

Previously, we heard about the shutting down of Google+ by Alphabet Inc’s Google, as the private profile data of at least 500,000 users may have been exposed to hundreds of external developers. This was discovered in March during the review of how Google shares data with other applications, Google said in a blog post. But it is repaired at the same time.

Now, this is the second time that hit by API bug impacting 52.5 million users. Also, It is found that this one is way worse than the last. On the same note, Google stated that it found no proof that any other apps had accessed the data till now.  such as name, email, gender and age, using the latest bug.

Last time, It was proved that affected users had their name, email address, occupation, and age exposed to third-party developers, despite whether their account was set to private.

Considering all these facts, Google will be closing Google+ as well as executing new security features. So all we can do is, delete your account in order to maintain privacy and feel safe from any data breaches.

Google also stated that due to the less no of people using Google+, no one was using Google+ was a major factor in the decision to shut it down. Google+ has not succeeded in order to gain broad consumer, only limited user interaction with apps are seen. In terms of user activity and the session on the app, 90 per cent of Google+ user sessions are less than five seconds. which is not a good result, if we consider the efforts of our engineers in making the ap, said Google.
