Apple iPhone XR shipments were reportedly 9 million units higher than the next-best-selling iPhone model, which was the iPhone 11. Launched in 2018, iPhone XR has been a huge success for Apple. According to Omdia’s Smartphone Model Market Tracker report, Apple shipped 46.3 million units of the iPhone XR in 2019, more than double of the 23.1 million units shipped during 2018.
2.Apple iPhone 11
The second most popular phone in the list of 10 best selling smartphones in the world is also an iPhone — the iPhone 11. Apple shipped 37.3 million units in 2019, which is really impressive as the phone was launched in September.
3.Samsung Galaxy A10
Galaxy A10 is an entry-level smartphone. Samsung Galaxy A10 is the third best-selling phone in the list of 10 best selling smartphones in the world. Samsung sold 30.3 million Galaxy A10 devices.

Samsung Galaxy A50 is the fourth best-selling phone in the list of 10 best selling smartphones in the world. Galaxy A50 is a budget smartphone. Around 24.2 million units of the Samsung GalaxyA50 were shipped in 2019.

Samsung Galaxy A20 is a budget smartphone. Galaxy A20 is the fifth best selling smartphone in the world with 19.2 million units shipped.

The sixth spot was taken by Apple’s flagship, the iPhone 11 Pro Max that sold 17.6 million units.

Apple’s iPhone 8 is now more than two years old yet seems to be going really strong. iPhone 8 is the seventh best-selling smartphone in the world with 19.2 million units shipped.
8.Xiaomi Redmi Note 7
The only other brand that featured in the top 10 was Xiaomi. At 8th on the list, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 sold 16.4 million units in 2019.
9.Apple iPhone 11 Pro
iPhone 11 Pro is the fifth iPhone on the list. Apple shipped 15.5 million units of this new Apple iPhone 11 Pro.
10. Samsung Galaxy J2 Core
The 10th best-selling smartphone in the world is another budget phone from Samsung — the Galaxy J2 Core. Samsung shipped 15.2 million units of the phone in 2019.
