Apple Special Event: iPhone 11 Series, Apple Watch Series 5 and Apple TV Launched


Apple new iPhone 11 series, Apple Watch and Apple TV have been unveiled on Tuesday in the Apple Special Event at Steve Jobs Theater. Considering the highlights of the event the iPhone 11 sports two cameras and starts at $699 (Rs. 64,900) in India. On the other hand, iPhone 11 Pro sports a three cameras and carries a price tag of $1,000.

Additionally, the event unveils two new products launching this year: Apple Arcade and Apple TV+ (both Rs. 99 a month in India), newest subscription products.

Apple iPhone 11 Series

Apple iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro will soon available for purchase in India, starting 27 September. iPhone 11 will be available in Purple, Green, Yellow, Black, White and starting at Rs 64,900.

The successor of XS and XS Max, iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max pack in the new A13 SoC along with a triple rear camera setup, carries a price tag of Rs 99,900 and Rs 1,09,900 and available in Midnight Green, Space Grey, Silver and Gold colour variants.

As far as the storage is concerned the two smartphones will come in 64 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB internal storage options.

Apple Watch Series 5

The new Apple Watch Series 5 models feature 32GB of internal storage for music, photos, apps, and other content and for both GPS and Cellular models.

Apart from this, the device offers an always-on Retina display, which allows the watch face to be activated permanently and an international emergency calling feature that contacts emergency services.

Other specifications include a built-in compass feature and Compass app for tracking along with an S5 processor. The new Apple Watch Series 5 comes in aluminum, stainless steel, and in new titanium and ceramic finishes.

Price: Pricing starts at $399 for the aluminum GPS models and $499 for the aluminum cellular models.

Apple TV+

Apple TV+ streaming service intended to take the likes of Netflix and Amazon. The Apple streaming service, Apple TV+ will debut in India from 1 November at a subscription cost of Rs 99 per month.

There is also a seven-day free trial to experience the service. Once after enjoying the free trial, the subscription will automatically renew with a monthly Rs 99 charge in India. The Apple TV+ will be available via the Apple TV app.

Customers can enjoy the service via iPhone, iPad, Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD, Apple TV (3rd generation), iPod touch and Mac. To get the Apple TV+ service, subscribers need to have iOS 12.3 or later, tvOS 12.3 or later and macOS Catalina on their devices.

The app will also be available on Amazon Fire TV, LG, Roku, Sony and VIZIO platforms “in the future,” according to Apple.

Price: The TV+ streaming service costs $4.99 per month. Also, when you purchase a new device like an iPhone or iPad, you’ll get a year of free service.

Additionally, the company also announced the price of its forthcoming game-subscription service, Arcade in the Apple Special Event. i.e $4.99-a-month (will have 100 games) that are exclusive to Apple devices including mobile devices, Macs and the Apple TV.
