Samsung Galaxy A Series Launch expected Today: Galaxy A80, Galaxy A70, Galaxy A40


Samsung is all set to launch its new Galaxy A series (Galaxy A80, Galaxy A70, Galaxy A40) today, at an event in Bangkok, Milan, and Sao Paulo. Earlier, Samsung has launched the Galaxy A30, Galaxy A50 smartphones and now it is expected that the company will add top-end devices to the segment. Also, the company replacing Samsung Galaxy J-series with Galaxy A-series.

Samsung Galaxy A-series launch

In the event today, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy A80, Galaxy A70 and Galaxy A40 smartphones. Considering the highlights of the devices, it will be the first device from the Korean giant to feature a notch-less Infinity Screen, slider design with a rotating camera mechanism.

Moreover, the Galaxy A80 is expected to be the same device which was previously rumoured to be called the Galaxy A90. According to the recent leaks, it shows the camera will be in rear position by default and switch to selfie mode when the slider is raised.

Other features will be, 6.7-inch AMOLED display, a combination of 48-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual camera setup, an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 3,700mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging in the Galaxy A80.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A70 which has been unveiled late last month expected to come with Android 9.0 Pie with One UI, a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity-U Display (with 20:9 aspect ratio), an octa-core processor (dual 2.0GHz + hexa 1.7GHz), 6GB or 8GB of RAM options, 128GB inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB), a triple rear camera setup (32-megapixel +  8-megapixel + 5-megapixel), a 32-megapixel selfie camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
