Xiaomi India on Thursday launched Redmi Note 4, the successor to one of 2016’s most well-regarded midrange smartphones, which it touted as its first big launch in the country this year. The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone will be exclusively available in India on Flipkart, along with Mi.com.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will go on sale in the country starting 12 pm on Monday on the two e-commerce websites. In India, the company has introduced the smartphone in Gold, Grey, and Silver color variants, with a brand new Matte Black color variant coming soon.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has been launched it in three variants in India – the first variants of Redmi Note 4 come with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM and cost Rs 12,999, the 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM variant cost Rs 10,999, and the 2GB RAM/32GB ROM variant cost Rs 9,999. All of them support expandable storage of up to 128GB.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a metal unibody design and bears a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clubbed with Adreno 506GPU. The Snapdragon 625 is notably the first 600-series chipset to be built on a power-efficient 14nm process technology. Xiaomi is offering three RAM variants: 2, 3 and 4GB.

The dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) Redmi Note 4 runs MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) 2.5D curved glass IPS display with a 401ppi pixel density.

On the camera technology, the rear camera on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 bears a 13-megapixel CMOS sensor equipped with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), a f/2.0 aperture, 77-degree wide angle lens, and dual-tone LED flash. The front camera sports a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor, coupled with an 85-degree wide angle lens.

As for connectivity, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone offers 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/b/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, Micro-USB, and Infrared. Sensors on board include the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, and proximity sensor.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone measures 151x76x8.35mm and weigh 175 grams. The Redmi Note 4 smartphone is backed by a 4,100mAh battery. The phone, however, supports only 5V/2A charging.
