After Xiaomi co-founder Lin Bin took to Weibo to show off the company’s flagship smartphone’s imaging capabilities, we now have the Ex-Googler and current Xiaomi vice president Hugo Barra who shared another image from the company’s upcoming flagship Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone.

The images, this time, came from Hugo Barra’s official Facebook account which reveals the quality of the flagship Mi 5’s camera. The images were shot in the afternoon in very bright sunlight. The colour reproduction looks accurate as well. The colours and details in this image hint that the Xiaomi Mi 5 is going to be a capable shooter. Hugo Barra said that he had shot this image using HDR mode of the Upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5. Hugo Barra also posted a full-resolution version of the image on the MIUI forum.

“I didn’t even have to fiddle with manual settings or adjust anything – except turn on HDR-this is a pure SOOC shot. I’ve cropped and zoomed in on the original, too, just so you can see the incredible details up close,” added Hogo Barra on his Facebook post.

Xiaomi’s Mi 5 is now one of the most anticipated flagship smartphones for the company as a lot of rides on the success of the device. The Xiaomi Mi5 launch date is set by the company on February 24 and will be holding a media preview for the same device at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Spain.

Based on preliminary leaks, the Xiaomi Mi 5 specifications include a 5.2-inch display QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels). The handset is said to come in two memory and storage versions – 3GB of RAM with 32GB inbuilt storage, and 4GB of RAM with 64GB storage. The Xiaomi Mi5, as confirmed by Xiaomi executives, including Hugo Barra, will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

On the camera front, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is rumoured to pack a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. Xiaomi Mi5 is also supposed to be backed by a 3600mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
