Xiaomi launches its biggest Mi TV 3 with a 70-inch 4K display in China


The Xiaomi released a 60-inch Mi TV 3 back in October 2015, priced at CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs. 51,000). Now, the Chinese smartphone maker is back with an even bigger model. Xiaomi has announced a new 70-inch version of the Xiaomi Mi TV 3 with a 4K display which succeeds the widely popular Mi TV 2. The Xiaomi’s latest TV was surprisingly announced at a recent Mi Pop Festival and is priced at CNY 9,999 (approximately Rs. 1,02,250).

The Xiaomi Mi TV 3 features a 70-inch UHD display panel sporting a resolution of 3840×2160 which in other words is Ultra-HD or 4K. The Xiaomi’s new TV 3 is powered by quad-core MStar 6A928 (Cortex-A17) processor clocked at 1.4GHz and also comes with Mali-760 MP4 GPU, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 8 GB of internal storage for native content. It also boasts of 178-degree viewing angle.

Connectivity options include an ethernet port, a micro USB port, a full sized USB 3.0 port, three HDMI ports along with WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1 (LE) connectivity.

It comes with a color gamut of 85% NTSC and has a refresh rate of 120Hz. The new 70-inch Mi TV 3 also features 2.5-inch full-range stereo speakers.

The new Xiaomi Mi TV 3 also comes with 2.5-inch stereo speakers with features like Bass Boost and Dolby DTS Virtual Surround Sound. It features a metal frame, metallic body finishing, and also comes with a metal back plate.

The 70-inch Xiaomi Mi TV 3 measures 12.9mm at the thinnest part and up to 38.6mm at the thickest part.
