Google App Maker – A New Build-Your-Own-Apps Tool Based On The One Google Uses Itself

The search engine giant is adding some important features to its G Suite(formerly Google Apps), including the all new App Maker, which is a low code tool for rapid application development. The Google App Maker is a new tool that will help companies build custom business apps that run on Google’s cloud platform.

G Suite is quite literally a suite of Google’s apps, which is particularly useful for businesses. For as low as 5 dollars a month, you can get professional business email addresses, cloud storage, data migration, online help, etc.

The Google App Maker is essentially an application development tool that doesn’t require a lot of programming experience. The new Google App Maker service features a cloud-based drag-and-drop development environment that lets you build the user interface.

The Google App Maker lets users integrate their apps with many services, including Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Forms, Gmail, Google Groups, Google Translate, Google Maps, Google Sites, Google Sheets, Google BigQuery, and Google Calendar.

It supports popular standards like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so that you can create a complete app within weeks. For more advanced projects, serious coders can take advantage of SQL databases, scripting, and standards such as Jquery, and can hook App Maker creations into Google Analytics.

On the partner front, G Suite is adding seven recommended partners for project management, customer support, finance, portals, encryption and e-signature services.

Google’s App Maker is available for those enrolled in the Early Adopter Program for G Suite Business. If you are not yet enrolled, click here to apply.

With App Maker, Google joins the likes of companies like Microsoft and Salesforce that have built similar simplified internal app-making tools designed specifically for their own business software services.
