Gapoon is an online platform where you can hire trusted and verified professionals including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, house cleaners and laptop repair. By hassle-free single click appointment booking process on its website or app, it helps you connect with best local tradesmen of your choice. It provides a platform for servicemen to offer their services and for users to choose from these.

Gapoon provides customers with an option of “Urgent Appointment” which can be utilized in case of an emergency, ensuring the arrival of a serviceman within a time period of two hours. And all this at no extra cost! The objective of the creators of company is not only to make life of the users easy, but also to find business for the service providers. The service providers did not have a medium through which they could advertise their services.

Gapoon does not charge anything to the users, but charges participating partner vendors with INR 500 quarterly registration fee and a nominal fixed tariff per confirmed appointments.

Apoorva Mishra, Founder and CEO of Gapoon, says that the idea was born out of frustration. when he moved to Bengaluru last August for a job change he couldn’t find a reliable way to get the basic home services. Gapoon is a product of IIT-Kanpur passouts. Apoorva Mishra – Founder and CEO, Ankit Bindal –  Co-founder and CTO, Ankita Asai – Co-founder and CMO. All three were IIT-Kanpur graduates.

Gapoon, currently active only in South Bangalore, and planning to expand in whole Bangalore very soon. Also, they are in talks with some investors to expand to 14 other cities by 2016.
