Asus ROG G752VS and ROG GL502VS VR-ready gaming laptops launched in India, price starts at Rs 1,81,990

Taiwan-based computer hardware company ASUS has launched a new series of ROG (Republic of Gamers) laptops — Asus ROG G752VS and Asus ROG GL502VS — on Thursday that uses the latest Nvidia Pascal cards for graphics.

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 10-series of graphics cards offer a significant bump in performance when compared to the previous generation. These GPUs, in addition to being more powerful, are also more energy efficient and include modules specifically for enhancing VR performance. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 10-series cards released this year combine top notch graphics with affordable price.

“The Nvidia GeForce GTX 10 series graphics cards provide exceptional performance and energy efficiency to give gamers incredible VR-gaming experiences,” the company said in a statement.

ROG G752VS

The first of the devices is the Asus ROG G752S. the ROG G752VS is based on the Intel Skylake 6th Gen Core i7 processor, unlocked for high overclocking performance. It has 32GB RAM (supports up to 64GB) and can be overclocked at up to 4GHz using the provided toolkit; while its GTX 1070 graphic card has 8GB memory. The ROG G752VS laptop comes in an ‘Armor Titanium’ and ‘Plasma Copper’ colour scheme.

The ROG G752VS with a 17.3-inch Full HD display having 178-degree viewing angle. But more importantly, it has a 120Hz refresh rate to tackle high-speed gaming. For storage, the laptop uses a combination of 256GB NVMe PCI express Solid State Drive and 1TB 7200RPM hard disk drive.

ROG GL502VS

The ROG GL502VS comes with a VR Ready NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPU offering a virtual reality experience to the users. It comes with a 15-inch wide-view panel which allows for a 178° viewing angle. The notebook offers 32GB of DDR4 RAM and the design maximizes cooling efficiency to give ROG Strix GL502 the stability required for intense gaming marathons. The compact ROG G502VS weighs just 2.3 Kg.
