Apple plans to 4-inch launch iPhone 5SE and new Apple Watch models in March
Apple will launch an updated version of the iPhone 5s called iPhone 5SE, where SE stand for the special editions, alongside a new Apple Watch at its March event, a new report from 9to5Mac claims.
The 4-inch iPhone 5SE will be the updated version of the iPhone 5s with a design similar to iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s series. It will also have some familiar iPhone 5S design but there is one change — instead of chamfered edges, iPhone 5SE will have the curved glass similar to what we see on the iPhone 6.
According to 9to5Mac, the iPhone 5SE will have the same 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.2-megapixel front camera systems from the iPhone 6. The iPhone 5SE will use Apple’s A8 processor along with the M8 co-processor. It will likely have 16GB internal storage and 1GB RAM.
Internally, the device is named N69. It will also come with NFC chip for Apple Pay and barometer for tracking elevation in the Health app. The new upgrade iPhone 5se will also support Live photos like Apple iPhone 6s series and will be available in Same Silver, Space Gray, Gold, & Rose Gold color options as the 6s line. There will be no 3D touch technology on this iPhone 5SE.
A separate report on 9to5Mac claims that the company plans to launch the Apple Watch 2. 9to5Mac wrote – “Apple plans to announce new Apple Watch models in March. The new lineup will be similar to the September 2015 Apple Watch revision, bringing a series of new band color options to the Apple Watch lineup. We are also told that entirely new bands made out of new materials are in development in addition to partnerships with firms beyond Hermes. Last year, Apple had discussed partnering up with popular third-party accessory makers, such as Incase, in some official fashion, but it is unclear if those are ready for this March revision.”
