Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 launched in India at Rs 9,999
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 launched in India, its first launch of the handset outside of China, at a starting price of Rs 9,999. Xiaomi has introduced a new Qualcomm-based variant of the handset for the India.
The smartphone will be available in two variants – one including 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, and other 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. The 2GB variant is priced at Rs. 9,999, while the 3GB variant is priced at Rs. 11,999. It will be available from Wednesday via Mi.com, and Amazon.in. It will be available in Dark Grey, Champagne Gold, and Silver colours, and Xiaomi says the smartphone is its third ‘Make in India’ offering in the country.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is the first smartphone to feature all new metal unibody design and has a relatively larger 4050mAh battery with fast charging support that can charge up to 50 percent in 1 hour. The smartphone runs MIUI 7 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and will receive Marshmallow update soon.
The highlight of the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is it packs Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 650 hexa– core processor (two 1.8GHz ARM Cortex A72 + four 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A53).
The smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS display with narrow bezels and offers 178-degree viewing angle. The phone’s quality display not only produces vibrant colours but also has a great touch responsiveness.
On the camera front, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with f2.0 aperture and phase detect autofocus (PDAF). There is also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
It is Xiaomi’s first phone in India with a fingerprint sensor. For connectivity, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 supports 4G LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, Glonass, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 measures 150x76x8.65mm and weighs 164 grams. The Mi Bluetooth speaker and 20,000mAh power bank were also launched.
