Solarin – the world’s most secure Android phone with military-grade security
SIRIN LABS, an Israel-based startup has announced its first device yesterday, promising to be the world’s fastest, most secure device at an insane price of $14,400 or approximately Rs 9,41,856 – The Solarin.
The selling point of the phone is its KoolSpan military-grade encryption and Zimperium-based threat detection.
As per the company, the Solarin is a privacy-first smartphone aimed at the international businessperson that spend much of their lives on the move, and have lots of information data “company co-founder and CEO Tal Cohen said at the product’s launch, according to CNN. He later warned that hacking “is something that can happen to any one of us…it’s just a question of if you’re targeted or not.”
Solarin is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with X10 LTE and Wi-Fi. It offers up to 450 Mbps downlink and up to 150 Mbps uplink speeds, coupled with support for 24 bands LTE compatibility. The smartphone also gets a rear 23.8-megapixel camera, with laser autofocus and industry-leading four-tone flash, plus a front-facing flash. The sound system uses three bass-boosted speakers, all linked through a smart amplifier, in order to maximise volume but control distortion, producing a clear sound.
