Smartron t.phone sale begins today; Sachin Tendulkar posts on Twitter
Smartron t.phone will be available for sale from Today. The smartphone packs in premium hardware and will be available on Gadgets360.com, an NDTV initiative, and is priced at Rs 22,999.
Though the phone was launched in May, the commercial availability is made possible only this month. The company attributes this gap to Smartron’s effort in building the right kind of support system to offer the best experience to its customers.
Sachin Tendulkar became one of the first buyers of the Smartron t.phone after its launch in May.
The Smartron t.phone is based on Android Marshmallow V 6.0.1 powered and is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor V2.1 with Octa-core CPUs. It is backed by 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM.
Smartron t.phone has a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 401ppi pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The company assures that it has pushed the limits when it comes to durability and conducted multiple stress tests on the phone.
The phone feels very light and is among the thinnest devices you will use, this despite the fact that the phone weighs 149 grams which are a bit on the heavier side.
The smartphone bears 64GB of inbuilt storage that’s expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB) and unlimited t.cloud online storage.
The phone has a 13-megapixel rear camera with an ISOCELL sensor, dual-LED flash and 6 element lens. The front camera is a 4-megapixel offering with 2-micron pixel size for better low-light performance.
Smartron t.phone has dual-SIM support with micro and nano slots. The 3000mAh high-density lithium-ion battery comes with a Type C charger offering Quick Charge 2.0.
The smartphone will come in colour options like Classic Grey, Metallic Pink, Sunrise Orange and Steel Blue.

Smartron had first launched a tbook, which is a 12.2-inch convertible laptop that features a 2 GHz Intel Core M 5Y10c processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD hard drive, Integrated Intel HD 5300 Graphics and Windows 10. The tbook was later made available on Amazon.in and with offline vendors and was priced at Rs 42,999.
