Samsung Galaxy S8 – Release Date, Full Specs, features and Price

Samsung Galaxy S8 will ditch home button, support S-pen, and come with Exynos 8895 SoC

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 flagship smartphone has been subject to a ton of rumors. The Apple iPhone 8 is not the only phone that will be ditching the home button in 2017. The Samsung Galaxy S8, which is expected to be Samsung’s flagship phone for 2017, will also come without a physical home button. Also, the latest rumors suggest that Samsung may offer an external S-Pen stylus and an Exynos 8895 chipset variant.

The latest rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S8 comes courtesy David Ruddock, who is the managing editor at Android Police. He has tweeted that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will come with a more compact design. This bezel-less look of the Galaxy S8, Samsung will achieve by removing the physical buttons and moving to the onscreen navigation and home buttons, similar to what most of the other Android phone makers have done. Although it doesn’t confirm or deny anything, we can still speculate on the rumors that are coming through the mill.

According to 9to5Google reports, Samsung killed off the Galaxy Note 7, the 6-inch Galaxy S8 with an external S-Pen stylus will likely fill that missing space. As for pressure-sensitive display technology, it has long been rumored to appear with Samsung’s flagship.

The Galaxy S8 is expected to hit markets sometime in March or April. The phone will possibly pack in the next generation Exynos processor — possibly Exynos 8895 — or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It will have 6GB or 8GB RAM, at least 32GB internal storage and a super AMOLED screen with 1440P display. The Galaxy S8, just like the S7, will definitely have one version with a curved screen. If it is any bigger in the size, there is also a possibility that it will come with dual-camera setup, similar to what Apple put in the iPhone 7 Plus.
