OnePlus 8 with Snapdragon 865 processor and 8 GB RAM visits Geekbench benchmark

OnePlus 8, the next-generation flagship killer, has purportedly surfaced on Geekbench with the model number IN2025. As per the listing, the smartphone will come with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC ‘Kona’, as the 8 Pro – model number IN2023, which was listed on Geekbench in January. The Company hasn’t yet announced any details around the official launch of the OnePlus 8.

The phone appears to run Android 10 out-of-the-box and the listing shows February 12 as the upload date. While scores of the OnePlus 8 are similar to the 8 Pro, it is listed with 8GB of RAM.

The Geekbench listing carries a single-core score of 4,276 and a multi-core score of 12,541.

Another feature expected is fast charging technology. The 8 Pro is expected to offer 50W fast-charging support and come with a 4,500 mAh battery. OnePlus 8 could get the same fast-charging support with smaller battery size.

Combining with the previous leaks and rumours, it seems that the OnePlus 8 will be a ‘lite’ version of the 8 Pro but it will still get most of the premium features.

OnePlus in January unveiled new screen technology with QHD+ panels and a refresh rate up to 120Hz. But considering the OnePlus 8 may not be as expensive as the 8 Pro, we are likely to see a Full HD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. 120Hz will be the buzz-word for this year and POCO has already started it with the POCO X2.

OnePlus has also confirmed several improvements in camera performance. OnePlus could use the same 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor as the main camera. The new enhancements will primarily focus on improving video capabilities on both current and future OnePlus devices.
