OnePlus 7 vs Asus 6z – Price, specs, and features compared, Battle of Flagships
Taiwanese phone maker Asus on Wednesday launched the latest flagship Asus 6z smartphone India at a price of Rs 31,999 and it is one of the interesting option in the Premium mid-range smartphones.
The flagship offering is officially known as the ZenFone 6 in other markets but is renamed to Asus 6z. Its biggest highlight is the use of a flip mechanism that rotates to turn into the device’s selfie camera too and no-notch display.
The Asus 6z starts at ₹31,999 for the 6GB/64GB variant. The Asus 6z smartphone comes in two other trims priced at ₹34,999 (6GB/128GB) and₹39,999 (8GB/256GB).
The phone features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) IPS screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 92 percent screen-to-body ratio, 600 nits peak brightness, 100 DCI-P3 color gamut, and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The Asus 6Z is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, with 6 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64, 128 or 256 GB of UFS 2.1-based storage. Asus 6Z comes with Adreno 640 GPU.
It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery and ships with a 40W charger supporting Quick Charge 4.0 and ASUS is promising a 2-day battery life on it. The dual-SIM (Nano) Asus 6z runs on Zen UI 6 based on Android Pie 9
The Asus 6z’s dual camera setup consists of a 48-megapixel primary shooter with a Sony IMX586 sensor, an f/1.79 aperture, a laser focus module, 1.6-micron pixel size (using Quad Bayer tech), and a dual-LED flash module, as well as a 13-megapixel secondary ultra-wide-angle camera (125-degree). The Flip Camera rotates vertically to face the user of the phone.
There is up to 256GB of inbuilt storage (UFS 2.1) on the Asus 6Z, expandable using a dedicated microSD card slot up to 2TB. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The dimensions of the new Asus phone are 159.1×75.11×8.1-9.1mm and it weighs 190 grams.
