OnePlus 3 leak indicates dual front speaker, Snapdragon 820 and fingerprint scanner is gone

If you’ve just got your hands on the OnePlus 2(which is now available without an invite) or OnePlus X there’s another new flagship killer – the OnePlus 3. Recently, a few images of OnePlus 3 were leaked on the web earlier today by Chinese technology website Mobile-Dad.com.

If the images posted by mobile-dad.com are accurate, the new “flagship killer” OnePlus 3 will be missing some features. There’s no fingerprint scanner, which either means that it’s been deemed excessive or the phone might use other, more advanced technology for biometric scans. And the signature OnePlus Sandstone back has been replaced by a brushed metal back on the images.

According to mobile-dad.com, the new “flagship killer” OnePlus 3 might be running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC and OnePlus 3 also gets a front-facing stereo speaker at top and bottom along with a front-facing camera placed at the top-right corner. The rear camera and flash setup fall in line with the design sported by the OnePlus 2. The OnePlus 3 appears to have a unibody metal one with only the power, and volume buttons as accents. The report says the new OnePlus 3 will have a full HD (1920 x 1080 pixel) resolution display.

The new “flagship killer” from OnePlus offers a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and it also ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop. There may be a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The leaked images of the new smartphone from OnePlus also suggest that there might be different colour shades on the phone, with a mirror-like shine. OnePlus has been releasing its flagship smartphones every six months. That way the new “flagship killer” from OnePlus should be launch by March.
