Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus to launch in India on March 15 – Here’s everything you should know


Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo has sent out media invites for the launch of Vibe K5 Plus in India. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus with Dolby ATMOS audio support smartphone was first unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 in Barcelona. The company sent out media invites for a launch event titled #KnockOut, which is scheduled to take place on March 15.

“The phone that was a ‪#‎KnockOut at MWC 2016 is making its way to India,” Lenovo Mobile India posted through its official Facebook account last week. “How soon would you like to get your hands on this amazing device?”

In terms of specifications,  the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus features a 5-inch Full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution, the handset is powered by a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.

The internal storage of the smartphone is 16GB which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. There is also a 2,750mAh removable battery and connectivity options includes dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth.

The speakers support Dolby Atmos technology and are two of them are mounted on the rear to provide stereo audio. In the photography department, it features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus sports a slim waistline at just 8.2mm and weighs in at 142 grams. Lenovo is expected to put up the Vibe K5 Plus on sale for $150 (Approx Rs 10,300).
