Lenovo K4 Note smartphone launched at Rs 11,999 – Everything you need to know


After teasing the smartphone for nearly a month, Lenovo launched the new K4 Note smartphone, the successor of the popular Lenovo K3 Note, in India today. The Lenovo K4 Note will be available exclusively from Amazon India in its first flash sale on January 19, with registrations beginning Tuesday.

The successor to last year’s K3 Note, the new smartphone is priced at starting price of Rs 11,999.

On the smartphone, Lenovo K4 Note runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with a light-version of the company’s Vibe UI. The company said the smartphone will get Android Marshmallow, but did not give a timeline.

On the hardware side, the dual-SIM dual-4G Lenovo K4 Note features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 401ppi, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone packs 16GB internal storage and supports microSD cards (up to 128GB) and USB on-the-go. It is powered by a 64 bit octa-core MediaTek MT 6753 CPU with Mali T720 GPU, coupled with 3GB of DDR3 RAM.

The Lenovo K4 Note sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF autofocus, a f/2.2 aperture and dual-tone LED flash, apart from a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

For connectivity, the K4 Note features 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi and NFC. It is powered by a non-removable 3,300 mAh battery that supports fast-charging technology that’s rated to deliver up 265 hours of 3G standby time, and 22 hours of 3G talk time. The 9.1-mm thick Lenovo Vibe K4 Note weighs 158 grams.

The phone is powered by TheaterMax Technology – the company also launched a Lenovo K4 Note bundle with ANT VR virtual reality headset, priced at Rs. 13,299. The first few flash sales will only feature the Lenovo K4 Note VR Bundle, at a special price of Rs. 12,499. You can buy the ANT VR headset separately for Rs 1,299 later. It will be available in its Tuxedo Black colour variant. “It helps you to convert all your favorite content like Movies, TV Series, Youtube etc into virtual giant screen Cinematic Experience,” according to the company.
