Honor 5C Launched in India at Rs.10,999 with  Kirin 650 and 2 GB RAM

The Huawei Honor 5C launched in India at Rs. 10,999. The new smartphone will face competition from the likes of Moto G4 Plus (Rs.13,499 onwards) and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (Rs.9,999 onwards). Huawei also launched a tablet – Honor T1 in India, which is a 7-inch tablet at Rs 6,999.

Huawei Honor 5C and Honor T1 are Flipkart exclusive devices. The smartphone can also be bought from Huawei store online at http://store.hihonor.com/in/ . The Honor 5C will be available on its first flash sale on June 30, registrations for which begin today at 2 pm. Huawei Honor T1, on the other hand, will be available on open sale on Flipkart starting today at 2 pm.

The Huawei Honor 5C feature a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 424 PPI (pixels per inch), which guarantees a rich viewing experience. The Chinese company touts that the handset supports LTE Cat. 6 which means it can support download speeds of up to 300Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50Mbps.

It is powered by the company’s in-house 16nm FinFET technology – HiSilicon Kirin 650 octa-core processor (clocked at 4x Cortex-A53 at 1.7GHz + 4x Cortex-A53 at 2GHz). The smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM and packs 16GB of storage which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).

The Huawei Honor 5C sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. It also sports an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture lens. The rear panel of the smartphone also sports the fingerprint scanner.

Apart from 4G, the smartphone supports GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity options. The smartphone comes with regular Micro-USB charging port. It measures 147.1×73.8×8.3mm and weighs 156 grams. It packs a 3000mAh battery. The smartphone runs EMUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Huawei Honor 5C will be available in three different colors – Silver, Gold, and Grey.
