The company confirmed it’s aware of the Google Indexing Issue and is in the process of resolving the issue
Recently Google is facing a bug in its news site, i.e some websites are not showing up in Google News search results. Google tweeted that “it’s aware of the Google Indexing Issue and is in the process of resolving the issue.”
Earlier, the same issue has found back in May, which was got resolved. No websites were appearing for hours. At that time, Google had the issue resolved within a few hours. By comparison, this time the indexing issue has been going on for a minimum of 12 hours. Moreover, this indexing issue also affected Google’s URL Inspection Tool.
If your Google search results are also facing the same then you are not alone in the line. All the publishers are facing the same, including the major news publisher sites like New York Times, Fox News etc.
Later Thursday, the company gave an update “URL Inspection tool” had been resolved, though it was working on the indexing problem.
A large part of this issue has been resolved – in particular, the URL Inspection tool should be working normally again. We're currently still working on resolving the remaining issues and will update here once we have more to share. Thanks for your patience!
