Apple iPad Pro launched in India, price starts at Rs 67,900


Apple has finally launched its biggest-ever iPad in India – Apple iPad Pro. The Apple’s new tablet is available via all company retail stores starting today.

The Apple iPad Pro 32GB storage model (Wi-Fi-only) has been priced at Rs 67,900 while users will have to pay Rs 79,900 for the 128GB model. The Apple iPad Pro’s 128GB storage variant with 4G LTE connectivity priced at Rs 91,900.

The Apple iPad Pro comes with a 12.9-inch 2732 x 2048 pixel Retina Display is just 6.9mm thick and weighs 713 grams. It is powered by the new 64-bit A9X chip from Apple. This promises 1.8 times the performance that of the existing second-generation 64-bit A8X chip, which runs on the Apple iPad Air 2.

The Apple iPad Pro allows you to work on the go and even multi-task with a split-screen view so you can run two apps on the screen at the same time.

The Apple iPad Pro has a four-speaker audio system and balances the sound automatically, depending on how it is being held. It promises 10 hours of battery life as well. More importantly, the Apple iPad Pro is the only iOS device to support data transfers at USB 3.0 speeds with the new Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader as well.

The new Apple iPad Pro also includes a 4mm thick detachable keyboard and a white coloured pressure-sensitive stylus called the Apple Pencil that can interact with the special iPad Pro screen to allow you to draw as if it were pencil on paper. The detachable keyboard can fold up to become the iPad Pro cover. You can orient the keyboard to be used for typing, for watching content on the display and covering the iPad Pro. The keys, covered in a smooth nylon, are sealed off from dust and are extremely responsive.
