Vernee Apollo With 6GB RAM, 5.5-Inch QHD Force Touch Display and MediaTek Helio X20 launched
Vernee is the latest smartphone company from Shenzhen, China. The newly founded high-tech company Vernee is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) which has released two smartphones – the high-end flagship Apollo with the MediaTek’s newest Helio X20 (MT6797) chipset inside it and the middle-range Vernee Thor(MT6753). The highlight of the Vernee Apollo smartphone is it packs 6GB RAM which was seen on the recently unveiled Vivo Xplay5 Elite. The pricing hasn’t been announced yet and it is expected to start selling in China in April.
The Vernee Apollo smartphone will feature a 5.5-inch 2K display with 3D force touch (pressure sensitive touch display) capability and will pack 128GB of inbuilt storage.
The Vernee Apollo smartphone is said to sport 21-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX230 sensor and also features an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The Apollo smartphone comes with a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
On design, the Vernee Apollo smartphone is said to sport all-metal design. Unfortunately, the Chinese company has not detailed all the specifications of the handset or has revealed details about the Force Touch feature on the Apollo smartphone, though it did confirm the Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.

The MediaTek Helio X20 chipset housed inside the Apollo boasts of a deca-core CPU in the tri-cluster configuration. It has four Cortex A53 processors clocked at 1.4GHz, four Cortex A53 processors clocked at 2.0 GHz and two Cortex A72 processors clocked at 2.5GHz. These processors are paired with Mali -T880 graphics solution.
The middle-range Vernee Thor features a 5.0 inch HD On-cell display and a 13-megapixel main camera. The Vernee Thor is powered by the MediaTek MT6753 chipset with 3GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
