Xiaomi Redmi 3 Launch Date Confirmed For 12th January
The Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi, has confirmed that the Redmi 3 smartphone will be launched next week – on Tuesday, 12 January. The company has released a new teaser on its official Weibo (Chinese social network) account earlier today, that shows the back panel of the Xiaomi Redmi 3.
From this image, the mid-range Xiaomi Redmi 3 will be seen featuring a 5-inch HD screen as well as features an all metal body with a unique plaid design on the back.
The device’s TENAA listing revealed that Xiaomi Redmi 3 is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Speculations say that it might come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 616 chipsets under the hood. The Redmi 3 will feature a 5-inch HD resolution TFT display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 will feature an internal storage of 16GB, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. On the camera front, the Redmi 3 will flaunt a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.
The phone will get a metal body and will be juiced by a 4,000mAh battery. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 will offer 4G LTE connectivity, and two SIM card slots, while you can expect MIUI V7 to come pre-installed here on top of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
