Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro Launched: Here is everything you need to know
After many leaks of the new Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro, finally launched in Xiaomi’s Beijing headquarters. It is the first smartphone of Xiaomi with a 64-megapixel primary camera. Both the smartphones sport a quad rear camera setup. Xiaomi will announce the India launch date soon.
Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro Specification
Redmi Note 8: The dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi Note 8 runs on MIUI 10, based on Android 9 Pie and features a 6.39-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) screen, with 90 percent screen-to-body ratio and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone includes Gorilla Glass 5 on both front and back and houses a waterdrop-style notch up front.
For optics, the smartphone has quad rear camera setup– a 48-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter, and two 2-megapixel cameras. There is a 13-megapixel selfie camera on board as well.
Other specifications include Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, paired with up to 6GB of RAM, 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, and IR blaster.
Redmi Note 8 Pro: The dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi Note 8 Pro runs on MIUI 10, based on Android 9 Pie. It packs a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, waterdrop-style notch and Gorilla Glass 5 on both front and back.
The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s new gaming focussed Helio G90T SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM. It also has liquid cooling support to improve the gaming experience. Apart from these, the gaming fans will also get the Game Turbo 2.0 mode.
For optics, the Note 8 Pro also has four camera’s at the back with a 64-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter and two 2-megapixel cameras. On the front, there is a 20-megapixel selfie camera on board.
Apart from these, the smartphone packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging, NFC, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, IR blaster.
Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro Price
The Redmi Note 8 Pro starts at 1399 Yuan (approx. Rs 14,000) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and goes up to 1799 Yuan (approx. Rs 18,000) with the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs 1599 Yuan (approx. Rs 16,000).
On the other hand, Redmi Note 8 priced at 999 Yuan (approx. Rs 10,000) for the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model. The other two variants, 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage cost 1199 Yuan (approx. Rs 12,000) and 1399 yuan (approx. Rs 14,000) respectively.
