OnePlus 3 with 6GB RAM, Snapdragon 820 Launched in India at Rs. 27,999
The Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has launched its flagship smartphone – the OnePlus 3 – on a virtual space station on Tuesday.
The OnePlus 3 comes with the 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display of 1080p resolution protected by a Gorilla Glass 4 and the smartphone, like all other flagships this year, is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. The Kryo processor cores are clocked at maximum – 2x 2.2GHz and 2x 1.6GHz. The OnePlus 3 has an internal storage of 64GB, which is not expandable as expected.
The OnePlus 3 has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 rear camera, a f/2.0 aperture, optically stabilized, with phase-detection autofocus, an LED flash, 4K video recording, and a unique noise reduction technology for better pictures as well as supporting stabilization methods for shake and movement free images. The front camera relies on an 8-megapixel Sony IMX179 sensor with 1080p video capturing. The front camera supports electronic image stabilization, which should improve the selfie videos.
The OnePlus 3 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with the latest edition of Oxygen OS launcher. The smartphone itself is made of anodized aluminum and will be available in Graphite and Soft Gold flavors.
Other interesting specifications of the smartphone include a fingerprint sensor, a notification light, LTE Cat.6 and dual nano SIM support, NFC, and a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery with Dash Charge support (5V 4A or 20W). This unique Dash Charge technology doesn’t let your phone overheat with the help of the Dash Charge Adapter. The OnePlus 3 measures 152.7×74.7×7.35mm and weighs in at 158 grams.
The OnePlus 3 is available from 15th June, 12:30 AM on Amazon.in – invitation-free. The company’s fourth smartphone is priced at Rs. 27,999 in India.
In the US, the OnePlus 3 has been priced at $399 (roughly Rs. 26,800), while it will be available at CAD 519 (roughly Rs. 26,300) in Canada, EUR 399 (roughly Rs. 30,200) in select EU regions, GBP 309 (roughly Rs. 29,500) in the United Kingdom, and HKD 3,098 (roughly Rs. 26,900) in Hong Kong.
