Google introduced new tool for search powered by Gemini AI at I/O 2024 on Monday event held in San Francisco. With this AI makeover in search, Google adds Web search feature to only show text-based links in Google Search results.
Google added it in response to feedback from users who want straightforward links, and especially when searching for longer texts. It appears at the top of the results page alongside other filters. This feature restores the classic ten blue links format for users who prefer simple text-based search results.
How to Use New Google Web Search Feature
To Access the new Google Web search feature/ filter, users can access the top of the search results page or within the “More” options menu. Additionally, it removes images, videos, and other types of search results, and display only the classic blue links.
We’ve launched a new “Web” filter that shows only text-based links, just like you might filter to show other types of results, such as images or videos. The filter appears on the top of the results page alongside other filters or as part of the “More” option, rolling out today… pic.twitter.com/tIUy9LNCy5
