Google Nexus 2016 – HTC Sailfish will have Full Metal body with a large glass panel
The fresh Image Has been leaked online of new upcoming phone Google Nexus 2016 which is made by HTC the posted images of “Sailfish”, which is expected to be launched alongside a similar HTC phone currently code-named “Marlin”.
We have seen the renders of the two phones leaking earlier but now the actual images of the Sailfish have been leaked. These are blurry and very tightly cropped images but they do give a fair idea of how the Sailfish aka Nexus 2016 is going to look like.
The new leaked images too show that the Sailfish is going to have a metal body along with parts of glass back cover. The metal body will have slightly lighter colours while the glass will have a darker shade, creating a dual-tone device. As for the design, the Sailfish, which is likely to have a 5-inch screen, will look very similar to the HTC One A9. And that ought to be a fantastic news for Nexus fans because the A9 — just like the iPhone 6S that also looks similar — is a really good looking phone.
The phone is solid metal build, with the large glass panel on the top third of the backside and the phone’s fingerprint reader and its rear camera.
The fingerprint sensor is also smacked in the middle of the phone as per the leaks.
To refresh, rumors so far have suggested a 5-inch 1080p display and a 2,770mAh battery for the Sailfish, and a 5.5-inch QHD display and a 3,450mAh battery for the Marlin. Rest of the specs are said to be same, including Snapdragon 820 or 821/823 processor, 4GB RAM and 32 or 128GB storage, 12-megapixel/8-megapixel camera combo, a USB Type-C port, and a fingerprint scanner on the back.
The HTC Sailfish is said to be the smaller of the Google Nexus 2016 phones, with the larger model being codenamed “Marlin.” Both devices are expected to have a similar design, though, so the Marlin may have this same look.
As far as the hardware is concerned, both the HTC Sailfish and Marlin are likely to have similar hardware. The only difference is supposed to be on the screen. The Marlin will not only have a bigger 5.5-inch screen but also a higher resolution of 1440P. The Sailfish will possibly have a resolution of 1080P. Both phones are likely to use an AMOLED panel. They will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, may have up to 4GB RAM and the 32GB internal storage. They will also have the same cameras that are used in the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P, which is a good news because these two existing Nexus phones are among the best shooters in the world of mobile phones right now.
