Far Cry Primal

The Far Cry Primal is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed and published by Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft. The Far Cry Primal is set in the Stone Age(playing a caveman living in the pre-historic world) and revolves around the story of Takkar, who starts off as an unarmed hunter and rises to become the leader of a tribe.

When Far Cry Primal was announced, Ubisoft pushed the focus of the game as being about survival, tribal warfare, and crafting. Now that a new trailer and gameplay footage have emerged, we have a much better idea of what to expect – and whether it really offers the fresh new Far Cry experience many of us were hoping for.

The single-player-only Far Cry Primal is switching out one big feature for the first time: the hero is not a newbie. In previous games the hero being new to everything was a key part of the experience – you turn up in a strange place, get thrown into a heap of trouble and work your way up from knowing nothing to the boss of all you survey.

A master of beasts, that’s how Far Cry Primal portrays its hero, Takkar. He is a hunter, one able to control the actions and gather the affections of the animals -great wolf, a bear, and what looked mostly like a tiger/sabre-toothed cat. These are Takkar’s greatest weapons.

The hero of Far Cry Primal speaks a proto-human language and spends much of his time fistfighting massive jungle cats, he seems to be enjoying himself.

Disappointingly, Players can only have one animal in play at a time, although you always have the option of calling in an owl to help. Replacing the binoculars is another trusty animal companion. The owl can fly around your area, marking enemies, routes of infiltration and aggressive animals. The owl can also be used to find weaker animals to call your big animal companion over to or even attack itself. We might be 12,000 years in the past, but surveillance technology is alive and well.

Because you are in the pre-historic time, the firepower is limited. Players will have to get by using a spear to throw at things, clubs, axes and short-ranged weapons like bows. Players also have some tricks up their sleeves, including the ability to throw a swarm of bees wrapped up in a ball, like some sort of bee bomb. Most every weapon players get can also be set on fire before shooting or throwing.

Making the task of seeking out enemies that bit more straightforward is the option to employ a special vision filter that highlights enemies in neon, whilst simultaneously turning the environment monochromatic to make dangers as easy as possible to observe. Area of operations understood, you can make whatever move you think best.

Far Cry Primal will be Less Violent than Predecessors

If you check out Far Cry 4 or Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, you will see that PEGI gave them an 18+ age rating based on the content which mostly related to extreme violence, language and a lot of killings.

While Far Cry Primal has not been rated by one of the mainstream rating boards, there is a USK age classification for the game where it is listed suited for users aged 16. The first and the foremost thing that comes into mind with this is that Ubisoft probably has cut down on the mature content of the game.

Everything else was very much like older Far Cry games. Players will still have to go clear out outposts of enemies, and claim fast-travel spots. This time, things are just a little more primitive, with mud huts replacing warehouses and a fire pit replacing a watch tower.

Far Cry Primal is set to be released for the Sony PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 23, 2016, and Windows in March 2016.
